TTMT #422 - A Little Further

Talk to Me Tuesday on WordPress is LIVE!

Please let me know if you still need access to post by sending your preferred email address to sewhooked@gmail.com. All active TTMT members should have been invited to have Author status. Returning members just give me a head's up and I'll be happy to add you as an Author. New members will be invited to be Contributors (posting with moderation) until that member has posted a few times.

What do you think? Do you like the new website? Do you think we should make it our new home? Any problems? Thoughts? Suggestions? A couple of our previous members have told me that they stopped posting because they were having so much trouble with LJ. If I had known that, we might consider this sooner. There's no community without community members! As Bryan Adams once said, "everything I do, I do it for you!" If we decide to make this move official, I want to make sure each of you is comfortable before we do.

As an aside, WordPress calls all the authors of a site "Team Members." I really love that. ♥

I think the new site is great. Very happy.

Just love the colors you have used in the labyrinth quilt, really pretty.

PPV block 10 is my favorite block in the sew along so far.

And your daughter's memory mug rugs is just gorgeous.

My goal for the new site is EASY. Easy to read, easy to look at, easy to use. :)

I love the purples, too! They've been yummy to work with.

Glad you like block 10, too, it makes me happy.

I just had to do something with the sweet little four patch. I knew just what it was when she found it because I was one of the volunteers that helped the kids learn to sew. :)

I had no idea some people weren't posting due to problems with LJ. That certainly would make a big difference in whether or not the group moves, sounds like it really needs to.

I'm slightly baffled by some aspects of WP but I guess I was with LJ to begin with. I do like that you get emails of new posts complete with the videos, though. Anyway, I'm just not sure how often I'll be able to post for the foreseeable future so I guess whether or not, or when, we move is really not up to me.

In somewhat similar news, my "Wunnerwmn" journal has now been offically deleted (by me). *wibble* It just took awhile to finally press the "delete" button. End of an era.

That's a sweet idea to turn her four patch into a mug rug she can use. Love that. :)

Tiny candy fabric! Very cute.

I had no idea at all that some of our past members weren't able to post anymore. I had three different people tell me that after I mentioned the WordPress account on my social media last week. Oi!

Your vote counts. You're here. You comment. Even when you don't post, you're still participating, and that counts. ;)

Whew. Saying goodbye to Wunnerwmn must seem super strange, but good for you closing a door you needed to close. Sometimes that's the hardest part of moving on.

That mug rug is a good representation of what having her home has been like. She's been cleaning out her room like crazy to make room for all the things she's moved from her apartment and there have been a lot of memories.
