Hi Jewels, just saw your email. The pillow slip is lovely, I love it. Thank you. :)

I'm so glad! I wasn't sure how to tie the colors together and then I thought, maybe if I use fabric in those colors but that share a similar feature, such as stripes or Dots, that would sort of tie it together. I like how it looked in the end.

I have a couple of quilting classes from Craftsy but haven't taken the time to watch them yet - after all, I've only had them 6 months or so. No procrastination here!!!

I'll bet your sister is going to be really excited when she opens that pillow case.

She already knows it's coming because I had to make sure she was going to be home to receive it, she travels quite a bit. She and her husband live in an RV.

Hey, but I want a peek! ;)

Huzzah for getting the wine quilt mailed!

I'm really glad you're enjoying the Craftsy classes. It's always amazing how much you can learn from other quilters.

If I wasn't so brain dead when I get home from work I might be done already. Hopefully soon. I'm plugging away a little each day.

So glad to get another one off the list and out of the UFO bag.

Having only ever taken that one quilt class in person (FMQ) it really helps to be able to see how other people do things and tackle the same problems. Other participants also share ideas and mention their own solutions so it becomes a sort of forum on the topic. But I do it in my own time. And the questions I have asked the instructor has answered within 24 hours, which was unexpected.

I have that Ann Petersen class too, there's a lot of good ideas in it that I'd like to try some day, though I've never quite got around to it :D You'll have to let us know how the Angela Walters class is, that might be the only one of hers that I don't have. Well, she's got a few I don't have, but that's one of them.

The quilt for your sister looks really lovely all tied up like that!

I figure when it comes to anything larger than a baby size quilt, a large scale, all-over meander just isn't an option on my current machine. So I'm hoping I will get some ideas from the angela walters on how to approach individual blocks and areas of a quilt and then use the skills from the ANn Peterson class to actually execute the quilting. But deciding what to quilt where is a huge hurdle for me. I'm off to watch a bit more Angela now.
