My memory is shot, the name I was looking for is Laura.

I am so sorry about the demise of your machines. It's almost like losing a friend, isn't it?

Your new orange and white quilt is gorgeous! I understand why you wish you had made it bigger for your bed.

I am so impressed with the accomplishments you've already made this year. You have finished quite a few projects.

Just to increase your odds a bit, if I win the lottery, I'll make sure you have a new machine! Hang in there.

Thank you Susan. The orange quilt is hanging around my sewing area at the moment, so that I can look at it while I sew. :))

It is funny how you think you haven't done much, but when you write it down, it is actually a lot more than you think.

Your modern quilt is lovely. I especially love the quilting.

Yay for signature blocks! They are so colorful.

If you can get your hands on one, a Juki straight stitch is less expensive than the big all-in-one machines with embroidery, etc., and they are all metal and are made to be used constantly. They are a little expensive, but definitely not as much as a car! Also, the Juki straight stitch machines sew SO FAST. It's my favorite for both piecing and quilting. It's only straight stitch, but it has needle up/down, a knee lift, comes with quilting feet, and it has an automatic thread cutter, which is amazing for paper piecing. That's my sales pitch for my favorite machine. ;)

I have the same brain problem. With the kids moving back and forth I'm having to write things down to do later!

Your UFO list looks great. Lots of progress!

I am so very impressed with all that you have gotten done so far just this year, wow that is a lot already quilted and bound!

So sorry to hear about your machines. Do you have any kind of thrift stores there where people donate things to be sold? Maybe you could find an old metal one there that you could use for all the piecing to save wear and tear on the bernina. Then you could use it just for the quilting.
