I printed the hot air balloon pattern by Mary Ann Beattie many years ago when I was first learning to paper piece, and it seems it's no longer available online so I cannot link to it for you.

thanks! I am wearing my owl earrings today. I love them so much! I couldn't believe how easy it was to quilt that quilt using just the walking foot and serpentine stitch. And I loved how it turned out.

The quilt is really cute and I loved the circles radiating out it was really cute, did you free motion it or use a walking foot, I still haven't gotten used to free motion yet, it scares me a little xx

I used a walking foot and my serpentine stitch, so the machine basically did all the work. I just shoved the quilt through the machine.

I love the quilting, the radiating circles are really great. Did you use a free motion foot or walking foot. I still haven't worked up the courage to use my free moron foot, it scares me x

Cute earrings! How fun to get such a belated birthday gift :D Best kind of mail is surprise mail.

That hot air balloon is lovely... very nice pattern! Sad reason for its existence though.

Love my owl earrings. And I wear that color a lot so it's perfect.

I liked the balloon though it's a very simple, kind of squarish pattern. If I had decided what I wanted to do sooner I might have tried an applique version.

What a great package from your sister. The owl earrings are great. My niece swears by her Yeti tumbler. I have one that is an off-brand that works okay, but doesn't keep things that cold for as long.

Congrats on the Linus quilt. I like it and the new quilting method you came up with. Go You!!!

It was super easy using that serpentine stitch and letting the walking foot do the work, I just "drove". And I love how it turned out. I'm all for easy!

Yay for half-birthday gifts! Love the earrings. Yeti is a big deal around here, but I am without knowledge as to why.

I love that your group is making a memorial quilt for Kathy's family. Having lost some volunteers from my own Linus group, I know how hard that can be. *hugs*

The serpentine stitch is such a fun option. I really like it. Also, SO SCRUNCHY! Yay for finishing all your Project Linus tops! My pile of "to quilt" Linus stuff is growing. Eep!

You're right it is half-birthday! It was fun to get and I love her earrings. I'm wearing them today, in fact. :)

I like the idea as well. Her daughter and granddaughter have both visited at various times, and her daughter actually owns a yarn/fabric/craft shop down south somewhere.

I had fun making that. And you got in progress updates throughout, lol. Time to put some tops together I think. I have all sorts of bags of coordinated fabric I've put together from donations, it's time to get one out and make a top.

Let me know if you need or want orphan blocks. I AM HAPPY TO SHARE. Oh wait, was I shouting? *eye twitch* (see my video from today)

Oh dear. I will keep that in mind. I have so many bags of beginnings already. I need to get them all out and maybe send you a photo and you can send me some that might work with one of them.

That's a good idea. Seriously, I am happy to share. These were almost all given to me for Linus blankets and as long as they go to a Linus, I don't think it matters which.
