Hi Marie! She is so pretty.
I like your little t-shirt design. I want to do that with some of mine, but I will no longer use the sticky solvy with the embroidery machine. I am just about ready to try again. You inspire me.

Happy adulting!!!

Mostly, Marie is pretty grumpy! She is a "my way or the highway" girl!

A while back, I ordered a roll of wash away stabilizer that looks almost like Saran Wrap. It isn't sticky, and can be a bit tricky to align, but it works really nicely to stitch with.

I've seen that stabilizer on some you tube videos. I just got some iron on stabilizer and thought I'd give it a try with my next t-shirt.

I am really hoping to join in with PPV in March. I might start with the blocks for this month and then go back to Jan and Feb in the off weeks. I am kind of tempted to copy your halloween theme, but I think I am going to go with the repro fabrics you sent me on a white background like your original. It's just so crisp and cheery.

Ugh, so sick of things breaking. Every winter I am always surprised and relieved when the furnace actually works, lol. It's the original one from 1940 or so. Apparently Chrysler made some really heavy duty long-lasting furnaces, lol.

It's March! Woo! Seriously, I know you have the wine quilt to do first, but then, PPV. Whatever you do with it, I know it will be lovely.

This is a very short list of all the crap we've had to replace. I didn't mention that my tablet died (the RAM went kaput) or that Big E's laptop had to be replaced earlier in the month. Also, there were the brakes on my car. I mean, REALLY? No list making, it's too depressing...

That is a serious furnace. O_O

Oh geez. Yeah sometimes it just seems like everything breaks at once. I hope that's all done for now for both of us!

Even fifteen minutes of crafts a day keeps my brain from breaking. It's been such a YEAR already!!

So glad Marie is feeling better.

Your t shirt design is so cute.

I wonder sometimes if we could just take a holiday from adulting or go on strike.

And THANK YOU for the tissue holder tutorial, as soon as I have finished making the current commissioned pillow, I want to make some.

I would love a holiday from adulting. That would be GREAT!

You're so welcome for the tutorial. The week I shared it originally was right before my dad got sick. It's nice to have it out there for people to enjoy now. :)

I really need to show my PPV blocks again.. I am caught up, though I'm a bit uncertain about my fourth block... I might want to make it over again. The purple fabric in yours is really neat.. I like that it kind of disappears and reappears here and there when the black blends into the black background.

The shirt looks great.. it's a while since you've shown a shirt that you've reworked in some way, so it's nice to see you back at it, even with something as simple as an embroidered embellishment.

I hadn't really realized how long it's been since I've done any kind of clothing recon. The truth is that when I am not feeling the self-esteem, I don't really do anything with clothing. I gained quite a lot of weight after surgery and have struggled quite a bit with that. I'm starting to feel myself again and clothes are (surprise!) becoming interesting again.

I'm glad you're feeling better again! It's a tough thing to combat for sure. (Low self esteem and weight gain, for that matter.)
