Hey there! Nothing crafty to show, but I still manage to fill about 5 minutes. Go figure. ;)

The work stress and your coworker... just no words.

Your project room is like the Room of Requirement, always changing to meet your needs! Do you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Abq? We visited one here recently and they had a ton of nice, sturdy office desks.

Walking is good for the soul. ♥

We do have a ReStore, but not sure how I would get a nice sturdy desk home without having to enlist the husband and his truck. I might look there. Maybe I can bribe them to deliver it.

Our re-store will have things delivered, but there is a $25 charge (I think that's right).

That would definitely be worth it if I found one I liked!

I say you check it out and if you find something, drag the husband back to help you. Girl's gotta have a nice sturdy place to sew! Big E was looking for a desk (found now!) and I was doing the "does it wobble?" test to all of them. I have learned!

I am thinking I need one for a pre-teen or teen because of my short self. Also it's easier to raise it up than make it shorter, lol. I may try a rubber shelf mat first. I've heard those can help with the vibration.

They can definitely help. I used to use one. I have an old cutting mat under my machine now, which helps, too.

Guess this qualifies as "not very helpful", but awhile back I ordered this table from Wallyworld: https://www.walmart.com/ip/54512240 and am only now about to get it set up. But I didn't pay anywhere near the 80+ bucks for it, and I see it's not available through them now. But maybe some other store would have something similar?

However if you have a husband and a truck a re-sell place would be ideal. :) Having something delivered that I can set up on my own is a big deal for me.

Your poor co-worker and her husband. I knew someone who had two hip replacements go wrong on her and as you can imagine she was in awful shape. One is bad enough.

I have looked at that one on amazon, they have one with a couple small drawers too, but I was worried about the vibration. It doesn't seem like it would weigh any more than the 6 foot resin table I have it on now. I would love to know how you like it after you set it up though. I like how that one looks... I actually had a thought this afternoon about buying a carpet sample from the Animal Humane thrift store and putting that under my machine, but I don't want to raise it any higher, it's already higher than I want it to be. I might look at the comet again.
