I really like the stars QAL blocks.

Great ideas for the quilt labels! I especially love the HP hexie block.

I hope it doesn't take long for work to calm down for you. See ya next week!

Your stars are really coming along. I like your fabric choices with those.

The HP hexies are a really fun idea! I cannot imagine hand sewing them, but then I am not sure how one would sew them on a machine either. I think I have watched a tutorial once before though.

Hope work calms down. Mine is insane at the moment too.

Your star blocks look lovely up on the wall.

I've done that whole different fabric thing before. Once it's all quilted, no one will know!

English paper piecing...oh my!

Ah, bummer about the thread! I just watched your video about trying to quilt with invisible thread. Ah well, at least you didn't make yourself crazy with it!

Those blocks are so pretty! I love that Cotton and Steel fabric :D If it is noticeable that the whites are different, lay out the blocks in a way that it just looks intentional - alternate or put the different whites in all the corners or something like that.

For the bulkier seams, it might help to press them open, or at least some of them. I kind of use a mish-mash of open and closed seams, whatever helps it to lie flattest. (Not that I'd go back and redo any of the blocks, those ones I'd just put some starch in the bulkiest places and steam and press the crap out of them.)

I did a quilt with hexagons that I haven't worked on in a couple years, but I did a really similar way with starch and then machine sewing them together... SO much easier!
