YAY for the serger working! Cute Beauty and the Beast outfit.

Good idea for the table cover with pockets. And I'll bet she'll be thrilled with new new home remodel for her little family.

I haven't received the package yet. At least we know it's in the country and should be here soon!!!! Probably slowed down due to the holidays. I'll let you know as soon as it gets here.

Sorry I am so late responding, I queried it with Royal Mail and they say they can't trace it but they think it has gotten lost as should have been with you by now, they think it's lost. I am so sorry and will sort something else out later today.xxxx

Well, on the bright side, if the customer service person was able to talk you through it to fix things that quickly, it's bound to have happened to a lot of other people. :) Glad you got it worked out!

I love your Sarah, you did such a lovely job! It pleases me that you're so excited about it. :)

Thank goodness you got the help you needed with your serger. I watched a ton of tutorials before I got the hang of mine. You've made a good start!

I do think we have the little family sets, but my kids are old enough now that I'm totally out of touch with what they are called. The cover you made looks lovely and useful.

Not familiar with those toys, but sounds like something Phebe would have liked playing with at that age. Although her main thing was dinosaurs back then... I love what you did with the table cover, though.

I bought my serger from costco. I read a bunch of reviews and it cost about $199 USD (Simplicity brand) 10 years ago. I had a love/hate relationship with it. But one thing that was great was the color coding of the threading diagram in the manual and on the outside of the machine itself. It was so weird to me that you had to thread the machine in a specific order, like you had to do the second from the right first, then the one to the far right, then the right hand needle then the left hand needle. but if you didn't do the right order it would blow up in your face. They are so sensitive! I recently sold mine to a young grad student and mom of three in my Project Linus group for like $35 and threw in all the books I bought and everything because I just felt like I didn't use it enough to justify it taking up space in my sewing room. I am glad I did because she is using it every day to make all kinds of stuff. She just made herself Harry Potter leggings! She's even made bras and underwear for her whole family. So it makes me happy that the serger is now apparently happier with its new owner than it ever was with me.
