One of the things I like best about this group is how clever everyone is. I can follow a pattern, but I'm not particularly clever about fixing things or adjusting patterns.

The breeches look great! And I'm sure the dress will too!

I used to alter thrift store clothes all the time, but the more into quilting I got, the less I did it. I feel like I'm dusting off a skill set!

Thank you! I can't wait for the party. They always do professional photos and that is something he and I haven't done for ourselves for a long time before he started working at this job. :)

Daughter is home tomorrow. Can't wait to have kid 1 & kid 2 here. ♥

Really awesome pants, fantastic job on those. Making clothes us my least favorite activity, but I want to. One day.

And I absolutely love the panels you are adding into the dress. Cant wait to see the finished dress.

I started out making clothes years and years ago, but the older my kids got, the less I did it, until I was just making the odd costume piece here and there. I've sent most of my kid's patterns on to hardhatcat. She's the queen of kid's clothing!

Today is all dress, all day. I'm not stopping until it's done!

Whoa, that is some dedication to costuming right thar! I'll bet you're both going to look fabulous though. Yay for pictures!

Enjoy the family being home. :)

This experience has reminded me how much I love costuming. It's been really fun, but I will admit I'm ready to get back to my quilts!

The pants came out so awesome. He will be so proud to be wearing those. That mask is pretty awesome, too. Great idea for the three way elastic.

I love what you are doing with that dress. I have been so enjoying seeing all this come together. You don't seem to be rusty at all!

The pants are crazy and he, fortunately, loves them. They did remind me how much I love costuming and how much I hate working with velvet!

I'm done with everything now except my mask, which is stitching out on my embroidery machine as we speak. I'm making the cat mask in this tutorial. Woo!

I had to adjust the bust of the dress about ten times to get it right, but I got there in the end. Not too bad considering my "pattern" consisted of a sketch and some measurements on a post it!
