Got my pattern. And ready to roll.  Promised myself that I would restrain myself to only 1 bom at a time next year.. Yours is it.  Just need to get some fabric.

Love the ideas you have for the costumes. Can't wait to see what you do with that.

One at a time is a good idea! I'm doing two, but one is paper pieced (this one) and I'm going to do hand embroidery for the other, so at least I won't be trying to do them at the same time!

Thanks! I do hope I get the costumes finished. Fortunately, I'm good with a deadline!

Yay!!!! I love what you are doing for the costumes. I would never even attempt that pants pattern, though, lol. Your idea for the hourglass inset is totally brilliant. You can SO do this and I'm looking forward to the big reveal.

Once I get Phebe home Thursday and get through Linus Saturday I'm going to sit down this weekend and really think about what is most important to me to get finished in 2017. I'm not even going to look at UFOs or make a list, other than what I REALLY want to finish and get done.

Ha, well, like I mentioned in my text, I love my husband, I love my husband, I love my husband... I'm planning to spend all day tomorrow on the breeches, too. I really want this all done by the weekend!

I forgot to mention I'm going to try stand alone embroidery for my mask. Big E already has his (antique mall!), but I want something I can wear over/with my glasses. I'm thinking something like what they have on Urban Threads, but I haven't picked a specific one yet.

2017 needs to be simpler than 2016. Egads, it MUST be!

Oh those are so cool!!!! I love the calavera, clockwork, and the masquerade one, but not with green like it shows... neat!

If Ken wanted somethinglike that I would probably offer to alter a pair of black vintage higher waisted dress pants... cut off legs below knee and add the draw string. But it would be hard to find gold velvet pants to recon that way, lol.

We couldn't find ANYTHING high waisted that wasn't pin-striped or totally 1970s. Not a thing. And yeah, gold velvet. He wants period appropriate!

Those pants just sound INTENSE. But I guess I always find clothing stuff intense :D They should be pretty awesome, all things considered. Oh, yikes. Okay, the dress reworking sounds more intense than the many-pieced pants. The fabric you chose to inset is really pretty though!

I'm more worried about the pants because ALL the buttonholes, but I'm sure it'll be fine. The dress doesn't stress me at all other than time, in fact, I'm trying to finish the pants so I can get to that project!!

I made pants like that for Les Miserables and used velcro and just sewed the buttons on the front. Of course they were on stage a good distance from the audience.

I cannot wait to PPV! I think that was my favorite quilt top to make ever. I did it with the 6" blocks; this time I may go for 12" and make it for our bed.

The hubby is a bit of a clothes guy. I think velcro would give him the vapors! Fortunately, the buttonholer on my little Janome is awesome!

I'm so glad you're going to PPV again. I'm dying to get started once costuming is done!
