Hi all..guess who?!
Yeah I'm still around! If not in video in spirit...
Been a while since I posted a video. Not for the lack of trying but just the timing because of changes in my life. So I figured I'd pop in and give you all an update on what's been going on and a 'hopeful' date of when I should be able to get a video up.I was hoping it was going to be this week but things got busy around here this weekend and by the time all was said and done the light was out of the day. any way...
Update on shoulder...I did have the MRI done and the good news is it's not a tear in the rotator cuff but the shoulder is a mess and could use a cleaning. The ortho ordered physical therapy (standard before they can do a cleaning now-a-days). Unfortunately that didn't happen as I was unable to get anyone from worker's comp to call me back so I could give them the info on where to send info to. Finally gave up on that. The director where I work sent an email before we got a response but, as the days have gotten shorter and dark comes early, I am opting out as I don't fancy standing on a dark corner at 7 or 8 at night waiting for a bus to get me home. So I'll deal with the pain as best as possible. It has decreased a bit since I haven't been doing the home care.
As for work..I am no longer working as an aide! Because of being on light duty I have been working down at the office doing data entry. Got them all caught up and started helping in scheduling. We had an opening for a full time position in scheduling come up and, because of the experience I had already gained, I got the job! So I am now working as a full time scheduler 8-430 Monday through Friday as well as on-call a few evenings out of the week. The pay is better than what I was getting busting my buns as an aide and I no longer have to worry about killing my body (shoulder especially) working the aide work!
Only problem..I now have to figure out a day I can record a video on! I'm leaning more towards Sunday as Saturday is always busy with shopping and running around for the house. I think this will work best since I can not possibly record during the week without the light.
I have been watching everyone's videos just haven't been able to comment. I try to get a bit of time at night as I settle down to get ready to sleep and since I'm using my old tablet it doesn't allow for comments. Think I'll set aside some time on Sunday morning for that as well!
I do really miss all of you and the interaction but, as things are starting to settle down and we are getting used to my new schedule, I hope to get back into the swing of things!
So, all that being said, I am hoping to get a video recorded and scheduled to go up on Tuesday..provided I can figure out how to do it! HELP ANYONE!!!!
So...I do look forward to watching all of your videos. I hope you all have a wonderfully crafty week and a wonderfully crafty weekend. As for me, I'm out. As for you, It's Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Day! Whatever it is I hope it's a Good One!

Sounds like a much better option for you for work! It's a shame it took all that pain to get you into it, but at least something good came of all that!

Glad things are better for you in the new position. If you can avoid/delay the surgery with PT, I recommend you do it. Ask them for a regimen to do at home.

I wondered where you'd been. :) The new job sounds great for you, glad you got it! Hopefully you can get that PT worked in, as Jewells68 suggested maybe you can get instruction on doing that at home.

Well, look at you, daytime working person!

Scheduling a video is pretty easy. When you're ready to upload to YouTube, click the upload icon, then click the drop down menu that says "public." Choose "scheduled" and you can choose the time for it to go live. That way, you can upload whenever is convenient. YouTube will prompt you for the rest.

When you go to post on LJ, there is a date at the top above the subject line. Click where it says "change" and you can choose the date and time. When I do it this way, I usually schedule the LJ post for about 5 minutes after the YouTube one. :)

I am sorry that PT didn't work out. I've been going for some post surgery issues with my foot and it's made a world of difference.

Congratulations on the new job! I'm sorry you are unable to schedule PT right now, but it sounds like the lighter duty job is already helping with the pain. I agree that the Dr. might be able to give you instructions on exercises you can do at home.

So glad you are back!!! I really don't care what day you post on as long as you are keeping in touch!
