Oh man, some of the judges in these competitions can be brutal, like they forget their comments will be read by a human being. But in my opinion your TABA BOM was amazing, so pffffbbbffft to them. :)

Wow, that lion pattern is complicated, but you're being so organized about it I know you'll get it done!

I'm sorry the judges were so rough on you. Some people don't know how to provide constructive criticism without it just becoming straight up criticism and meanness. Your quilt was awesome! Maybe you just need to find a different show to put it in. I find the State Fair judges to be less kind to anything out of the ordinary "official traditions of quilting" category.

I loved that lion quilt when I saw it in the Craft of Quilting catalog. It is simply gorgeous and I am sure you will do a great job!

Also you never have to apologize to us for being busy. We know we'll hear from you when you get time.

It is great to see you. Don't worry about being busy, we'll be here whenever you can show up.

The lion quilt looks grrrrrreat! (Stolen from Tony the Tiger, but still a big kitty.) You are so organized! And the idea of making the big pieces first and using the scraps for the smaller ones is genius.

I know whoever wins the November prize is going to be beyond thrilled with a Rainey original!

By the way, the mean old judges can just . . . well I'm not going to say what I'm thinking. We've all seen your TABA quilt and it is stunning.

Best of luck with the certification. I'll bet you'll ace it!

The prize is completely AMAZING. The winner will love it. It's also the next to last prize, which will make it even more awesome. I think next year we're going to try to do some swapping.

Juried shows can be super harsh. I learned a lot from my first (and only!) quilt show, but yes, the pain was real! You love your quilt and it's awesome and that's what's imporant.

What fun fabric!!

I SAW the lion quilt with my own eyes at the Quilt Festival in Houston. It's ENORMOUS. You go, girl!
