11/1/16 - Slideshow

No video this week.  What I've done this week has all been wedding related.  I am glad to say that the wedding went off beautifully.  We couldn't have asked for better weather for an outdoor wedding - temps in the 70s.  Except for being a little disappointed that some people didn't show up who had sent in RSVPs, it was perfect.

Today I started sewing together some blocks I cut out ages ago for a quilt for Tim and me but it's nowhere near ready for viewing.  I don't even have one block done since I'm chain piecing parts of the blocks before putting together.

As a side note:  I just got a call from my oldest son who is very depressed and I'm very worried about him, so I'm not really able to talk right now.

I did, however, put together a slide show with a few pictures from the wedding and Tim's paintings.  There is one pic of the infamous dress!  I had the lace top and made the dress under it.  When looking at Tim's paintings, keep in mind that he has only been painting about 6 months.  I think he's doing great!  Some of you Star Trek fans may recognize a couple of locations from the original series.

Have a great week everyone and keep crafty.

So glad the wedding went off ok. Looks like it came together great. And you did a great job on your dress!!

So sorry to hear about your son. We never stop worrying about our "kids" no matter how old they get. I hope he is ok. And I am thinking about you both. *hugs*

Tim's doing such a great job painting! I definitely recognize the star trek scenes. He's got talent!

I guess I'll worry about my oldest for the rest of my life. The youngest, not so much. Thank you.

Tim is one of those people who can do anything they set their mind to. I think he's doing great. He's working on one for his brother now and it's about done. It's a DC3 plane flying over mountain terrain. His brother makes model planes so I think he's going to really like it.

Wowee, it all looks great! Lovely dress, beautiful wedding, great paintings. Tim's very talented; and I love the way you had that tent decorated with the lights.

I had a long talk with a friend recently whose son is in a deep depression, so I hate to hear you're going through the same thing.

Thank you. By the way, I had nothing to do with the docorations. Vanessa and her wedding party did all that.

Your dress came out lovely! I'm so impressed by the sleeves. The wedding looks like it was a lovely event.

Tim's paintings are so good. I've been watching his progress when you post on Facebook.

I'll keep your son in my thoughts. *hugs*
