Why are you making a costume for him if he is not a nice boy?! Legend of Zelda is one of Phebe's longest running favorite games. From what I've seen, you could combine bits from a Peter Pan outfit and a robin outfit and add a short sword made of craft foam and be done with it. Glue that sucker out of felt. Only my own kid got the "real" costumes from me, lol.

It is crazy, the international postage. It wasn't so bad when you could still opt for sending via boat freight, it just took forever. I just sent birthday blocks to Cat in a small padded envelope, we are talking less than half a pound and I was shocked that it had gone up so much. I feel bad for international swappers because y'all want to play along too and our goverments make it so hard! Just out of curiosity, is it as expensive for you to send to another international swapper than to the US? Like someone else in Europe or Australia or Africa, for instance?

Also, I meant to include that thoughts about a lost loved one can definitely impede your craftiness. Every sEptember it just seems to sap my excitement/interest. I'm hoping that will get better for us both. *hugs*

*big hugs* to you my friend. I hope you're feeling a bit better this week.

Eli and I shared stories with our kids this weekend of our Oxford adventures. Elena may well take you up someday and end up sleeping on your sofa for a day or two. ;)

Oh, my dear friend, cosplay costumes were my specialty when my kiddos were little. I found that you could adapt fleece tops and bottoms by adding bits and pieces, or cutting different colored tops apart and sewing them back together. Also, never underestimate the value of felt. Big Picture costumes will save your sanity.

Stupid children, being bullies. Maybe you should leave some of the pins in the costume when you give it to him...

OK, no, you shouldn't do that. But I'm sorry he's being rude to your boy, and I hope he figures out how to improve his attitude soon!

I'm so glad my package made it to you in one piece and that you liked the little bits and bobs :)
