I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful second honeymoon. You are about to find out why the kids moving away is not such a bad thing. Renewing your relationship with your life partner and planning places YOU want to see without having to consider the kids is an absolutely terrific new adventure. Enjoy the heck out of it!!!

Ask us if anyone here is surprised your presentation went well. You've been making online presentations for years preparing you for it. Congratulations.

Give Vicki a big ole hug from me.

We've always been very much a couple, but the older I kids have gotten, the more "couple-ish" we have become if that makes sense. This is definitely an upside to kids growing up, at least for us!

Hugs will be distributed!

Thanks for the birthday wish :)

Nice to have a secondary machine again, I bet. I'd hate to have to lug the Juki around too... so heavy!

That's really awful about your friend's mom's home, but it sounds like a lovely thing you're doing for them.

Enjoy your trip! (I'm sure you are!)

I totally lost the birthday track this year and for some reason keep realizing they've already passed. Something to work on for next year!

It is so good to have a second machine again. I had thought about getting my vintage one serviced but decided I'd rather spend that money on a machine with a thread cutter and needle up/down. ;)

We leave tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT.

I knew you would do just fine. I mean, you do a mini version every Tuesday, so of course you did great!

London, gah, I am so excited for you!! I can't wait to see all the pics. I just know you'll have a great time, and how cool that you'll get to meet up with Vicky!

*glomps* here's a glomp for the road. ;)

I've thought about the guild evening a lot and honestly think it was my surgery experience that helped me be so calm. I lived with pain and anxiety at such a high level for so many months that this just didn't register as something to be anxious about.

LONDON! LONDON! LONDON!

You of course are already gone by the time I'm writing this, but YAAAAAAAY for London and meeting Vicky! Post lots of photos/videos so we can see what you got up to!

I've always enjoyed my Janome, it's a good little machine (Memorycraft 3000 but not one of the embroidery ones), so I hope you get as much use out of yours.

That's sweet about the memory quilt. :) Love that pattern.

The whole thing was AMAZING. We needed a year there to do everything we wanted to. Vicky is exactly as sweet as she seems, too. Can't wait to share more!

Oh lovely, you must enjoy your trip. Although by the time I am writing this, you are nearly back already. Just saw your video with Vicky. It looks like a lot of fun.
