Woo for a double finish!! The quilting looks fantastic on both of them. The applique quilt finish is especially impressive. I love how it looks on the back!!

Also, WOO for working out! Go you!

I really wanted to share that process because it was so easy and I really loved the way it came out. I didn't worry about making them the same size either, just made sure they were small enough to fit inside the block.

Today I turned down the volume on the dvd and listened to my mp3 player instead. Ended up getting MUCH sweatier so I think that's my new plan. :)

Love the quilting templates idea and the blankets for Linus xx

Thanks! I thought, "why not give it a shot?". It worked exactly like I thought. Fast and easy. No chalk or transfer paper or anything. Just print, pin, and sew. Then pull off the paper carefully and you are all good. I will definitely do that again.

Wow! Both of the blankets look great. Great idea for the quilting. I'm going to have to try that.

I had a brain storm, and asked Jen if she thought it would work, and she was like, why not? So I tried it and it was so easy and looked exactly how I wanted. I will definitely use that technique again. In fact, I am having so much trouble with my arthritis, I am thinking I might try that method for doing the embroidery for the doctor who quilt instead of hand embroidery. I think I will need a lot more practice before I try that though.

Go you, getting things done! They both turned out pretty great. That's some creative quilting on that second one especially.

Thanks! I really wanted to quilt those non-appliqued blocks the same way as the appliqued ones, and my solution worked much better than I had even hoped it would. The sashing I just winged it, with wavy lines interspersed with loops.
