I blame it on waking up soooooo early.

If the park doesn't work today, you may want to try your local library. They usually have a big table or two that you can commandeer for layering and basting! We have lots of people who do that at my location...

Went to the park and it worked fine - with a lot of help from my hubby!

I'm just now learning to wake up later. I've been on a school day schedule for so long, sleeping late still leaves me a little disoriented!

Fantastic, realistic priority list! You reminded me that I need to do an update on my 2016 list to see how I've done so far!

Your list sound so nice and short, I think you are hiding some UFOs from us. My list is longer than my arm.

I have MANY UFOs - probably about 20 quilt tops, including 2 POD quilts. The short list is just what I want to finish by the end of the year.

I table baste on a pretty small table - I centre the bottom on the table and use great big binder clips to clamp it to the table, then centre on the batting and top, and then I pin that bit then when it's all done, I slide the whole thing over, re-smoothing and clamping before pinning. I've done quilts large enough to need to be smoothed and clamped 9 times and it works out pretty well. I know you've already got it done, but just another option, if you want to try doing it at home sometime. (I think it should work similarly with spray baste too!)

I tried it on a smaller table, but couldn't seem to get things lined up right.

I think the park sounds like a good plan and a fun outing! I just spray basted two baby quilts (one at a time) last night on a 3'x6' table. I didn't even clamp it, I just started and one end and did a little at a time smoothing repeatedly and when I got done I ironed it to smooth it out more on both sides, fixing any major creases as I go. I think it would definitely be easier to baste with a partner, though, I feel like I need several extra hands when I'm doing it.

I like your goals. I have a ton of UFOS and tops I haven't finished, but I'm just picking one or two to focus on at a time and trying not to start anything new this month while I try to finish some things up.

Good luck with your list! I'm sure you'll knock it out in no time.
