Cute Princess Leia outfit. I like that it can be worn as a regular little dress by just taking off the belt.

Wish I could help you out with the Luke costume, but I have no idea!

Enjoy your time with the kids this summer. We'll miss not seeing you every week.

Thank you, I am going to try to record but it might be all over the place and with very little sewing. Xx

First off, the Leia prototype is already completely adorable!

When my son was about three, I made Jedi robes for him using a patternless kimono from an old sewing book. It was more Obi Wan than Luke, but you get the idea.

This tutorial is very similar to what I did. I adapted it by measuring across his shoulders, torso and arm length.

Years later, he was Young Anakin for Halloween. I made the top with the same kimono style adding velcro gauntlets. If I remember correctly, the leggings were a pj pattern, also with velcro bits for the rag look.

Hope that helps!

The princess Leia outfit is so adorable, I love it. It always amazes me all the creative things you come up with. I am terrible with costumes.

I was going to mention Jennifer's two jedi outfit endeavors, but I see she has already commented. The Leia out fit is totally adorable. I could see the roll next being really annoying to a child that age, so I think you did best not doing that.

Thank you for providing the prize again. As someone who loves so many things from the UK (HP, Agatha Christie, Morse/Endeavor, Hitchiker's Guide, Sherlock Holmes, etc) it's neat to have someone there to do the prize now and then.

OMG I would love to see that! I have my awesome Body in the Library bookcase quilted wallhanging that Jennifer designed and made for my birthday a few years back, I love it. I want to do an entire Christie quilt.

The costumes are absolutely lovely!! I can't sew clothing type things at all.

A library where my sister lives (about 8 hrs from me) has an old red telephone box. And my sister couldn't understand why my mom and I just HAD to get in it and have our pic taken. She thinks we are weird. (Which we totally are, but...)

*hugs*

It's crazy about the red phone boxes, there is one in Oxford and people Que to have their photo taken in it, its weird as we are so used to them that we don't always get it, I suppose its like yellow cabs in NYC, we go nuts for this over her, they are even prom cars. Xx
