I like both of your crochet hooks. They remind me of the Susan Bates metal ones, you know, each size hook is a different color metal. So seeing them in two different colors make me think of how you could actually make a corchet hook wall hanging with one in each color.

I don't have any ideas on the embroidery stuff except maybe it's the tye of file it is? Maybe you need to convert it to a different file extension for it to show up? Just a thought, but I really don't have any personal experience with it.

It isn't the file extension - they are all the same.

Aw, that was a sweet story about making the prom dress. That was kind of you to do, and you know she'll always remember that. :)

I like both of your crochet hooks, but I MIGHT be biased. ;)

I'm so very glad you like the seam gauge pattern. I love your prom dress stories, wonderful!

I had a similar problem with embroidery patterns. I had one that I was sure was on the stick and it turned out to be too big for the machine, so it just ignored it. I ended up having to save a different size to get it to work.

I think both hooks look great! You can always use one as the quilt label. :)

Loved your story about the prom dress! When I was in kindergarten, they had a kindergarten prom and my grandma made my prom dress. I got to pick out the fabric. It was pink with raised tiny polka dots on it. I wore it for AGES until I outgrew it. And sadly, it was probably one of the last things she made me as she died the next year. I think had she lived, I would have been more interested in making clothes. My home ec class we made stuffed animals from a kit we ordered online...and teddy bears....but no clothes. They saved that for an advanced class.
