TTMT 39 - Short and Sweet

This week has been a roller coaster ride.  I've been shocked, sad, and angry about the shootings in Orlando.  Received a DVD from my cousin with footage his dad had made at family get-togethers with an 8mm camera.  Seeing my parents, brother, sister, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins who have passed left me nostalgic and sad, but at the same time, happy that I have these movies.   Happy to have completed the quilt for Vanessa and excited about the upcoming wedding.  Found a caterer for the rehearsal dinner.  Like I said, an emotional roller coaster.  Right now I'm thrilled to see my hubby getting excited about starting a new artistic adventure. Woo hoo!

I absolutely love that chilli fabric on the back of the quilt, how appropriate is that.
Hope things even out for you in this next week.

I hope things will even out a bit this week too. I am so tired of senseless violence.

The Great British Sewing Bee is addictive, and Patrick is one of the major reasons why.

That quilt is just amazing!

I've seen some videos of the Great British Sewing Bee on YouTube, haven't watched them yet...is that where you're watching them?

Yes, I've been watching on Youtube. They don't have all the seasons but they are fun to watch.

The quilt is a Carol Doak pattern (or combination of her patterns) and was quilted by Missouri Star.

Vanessa's quilt looks fabulous. I'm sure she will love it. And good for your husband taking up a new crafty hobby!

Hubby has a LOT of hobbies: Ham radio operator, amateur astronomer, musician (guitar, bass, drums and voice), archery, model trains, and now oil painting. Between his hobbies and mine, our home runneth over!
