I hope everything is going ok at orientation and you are getting to rest your foot in between activities.

I can't get over how much you have already accomplished with the galaxy quilt. I guess I don't really know the proper way to chain piece because I've never seen multiple rows all linked together like that. I do a sort of version of it when I do traditional piecing but usually only a couple things are stuck together at one time.I'm going to have to look up some videos and see how other people do it.

Doesn't it feel great to be caught up and even ahead on your Linus projects? You will get caught back up in no time once you are back on your feet again, if I know you at all. ;)

Have you stocked up on books and ebooks for July?

I learned to chain piece from Osie and I don't know anyone that can put together a quilt faster than she can. It is SUCH a time saver!

Orientation went well and while my foot was really tired and sore, I was able to rest it a lot. The bone chips behaved while I was traveling and that was my real concern. When one of them decides to start poking, I can barely walk. Less than a week until surgery now!

I haven't stocked up on books yet, but I have some in mind in case the mood hits!

The colors in the Galaxy quilt is beautiful, I can't wait see what it looks like finished.

You are really on a roll with you Linus quilts.

I can't believe the Minion quilt along is nearly finished. Just over 3 months to go before my quilt along, woohoo. Starting to feel nervous now.

Good luck with the surgery next week, I will be thinking of you.

Hugs

Thank you! I've been a nervous wreck about the galaxy quilt. It's so different than anything I've done before. The other pixel quilts I've worked on were VERY straight forward!

Thank you for the well wishes. Less than a week until surgery. I am so ready to get it over with!

Holy cannoli, you are one dedicated mom! I'm sure Gareth will appreciate that quilt...but whew! I'm really interested to see how that quilt turns out.

Best wishes with your surgery next week, I certainly hope it helps with your pain and foot troubles. Even if you don't make a video be sure to post and let us know how you're doing! Do you have to do any rehab, or are you just on your own after the surgery?

Ha, well, I do love my kids and when I make a promise, I will see it through if it kills me. ;) He wants a galaxy quilt and with all the crazy hard work he's done to get where he is, that boy is getting a galaxy quilt!

I will have PT on my own after surgery with weekly check-ups with the doctor until he releases me. I will absolutely check in to let you all know how it goes. ♥

That quilt is going to be fabulous! Can't wait to see the finished product. It really looks complicated.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers next week. Keep us up to date on how you are doing.

Oh, I do hope you're right! The quilt doesn't look like much yet, but if it turns out the way I'm hoping, it could be pretty awesome. :)

I will definitely keep you updated on my post-surgery progress!
