Oh, I remember those blocks! You could put solid blocks in between as an alternative to sashing if you wanted to grow it a bit. Finishing anything would feel good about now!!

Your hair looks cute, too. ;)

Oh that is a GOOD idea. Just cut some same size blocks out of the leftover fabrics. I could maybe even do some simple four-patches of the smaller bits I have left to make 10.5" blocks! oooh I will have to make a couple and see how I like it!

Thanks on the hair. My hair looked better yesterday. I think I put too much leave-in conditioner in it today. Kind of made it limp. But I am loving the length. It's so much COOLER. But still long enough to do a little pony tail or two little side pigtails. ;)

I can't wait to see what you do for the alternate blocks!

Pigtails really are the best. :)

just sent you a phone pic. Managed to have just enough fabric of 3 of my fabrics to make 2x 10.5" squares of each, and then 1 of another. And including one of the blocks that were the wrong pattern I had just enough squares. And I have the remaining center sections that I already had pieced to make more blocks, so I will use them to piece a border, like for cornerstones and such. I think it's going to work. just need to find a fabric that will work in the border with them and not stand out too much. That may be difficult to do from stash but I'm going to give it a shot. Then at least I'll have a completed top in a baggie waiting to be quilted instead of a bunch of blocks.

Nice birthday blocks. They will make a cute quilt. Congrats on getting the back done for the Believe quilt.

Thanks! I need to finish something. I don't think I've finished a quilt since my brother's. I'm getting tired of all these UFOs lying around.

You have inspired me to have a finishing week, I might even make up my Dr who and Lott quilts into wall hangings just to get them done.. Love the coffee themed blocks. X

I think I made the one on the top right!

If you want to make it a little larger, too, you could put those blocks on point and have setting squares and triangles between them - it'll expand the size more quickly that way.

Top is pieced! Will show it off this Tuesday. :) Finished with fabric I had on hand including some extra YOU sent with your block.

It came out totally different than originally planned, because I just didn't want to piece any more blocks.
