Looks like I'm sitting down in a hole.  I'll try to do better next week.

Well, another embroidery machine... and yet another voice in the back of my heading telling me to get an embroidery machine, lol. I hope you get to play with it a bunch this next week.

I think if it were me I might take the strap/bag apart if I had a lot of time, but more probably I would make a new one and deal with the twisted one at my leisure. Maybe you could keep that one for yourself and cut off the straps and put d-rings or o-rings and do a fabric strap through those so you don't have to take it apart. You could always use that new version as a gift for someone for a birthday or christmas later in the year.

The bags look really great, are you using a pattern for those or just winging it?

Since she has 5 bridesmaids and I had planned to make 6 totes, figuring the first one was a prototype, I'm okay with taking the bag apart at my leisure. I just wish I hadn't sewed the darned straps in so well.

I made the bags from a video by Jenny at Missouri Star. It's about making 3 totes with one charm pack plus some yardage. I didn't make the straps from material as in the video and just used brown strapping.

I might have to check that out. I have quite a lot of random charm squares lying about in various places. It's a cute bag.

Oooh, new toy! Bet you'll have fun with that. :)

Love the bags with the charm squares. Oh man, the number of times I've twisted a strap on a tote or purse. Urgh, so frustrating! It really is about easier to make a new one. Those are going to be great gift bags, though.

I think you're giving Jennifer competition in the "working fast" department. :D

Yay for a new toy! I have watched a whole lot of videos and it's helped a lot. Have fun!!

Those tote bags are so fun, I love those for gifts!

Oh, grrr, how frustrating to have a twisted strap! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and would probably take it apart and fix it, but I certainly understand why you might just make another bag!

Oh how exciting! Enjoy the new machine!

That's too bad about the strap on that bag... I wish I had a magic way to fix it, but I think it probably sounds easier to start over than to fix :D Lovely of you to make them for her, though!
