Ok so the quilting on the smartphone quilt is amazing. You've done an outstanding job on it! I'm with you with the problem with your machine, have the front look great. Yes the back is important but it's the back.

Sorry to hear about your area in a drought. I know that sucks, we had that a few summers back. It's never fun.

How fun is that brick fabric! The HP ornaments are too cute!

Can't wait till we get to see what you've done for your fantastic beast quilt along! I've been reading the book🤓
Have a great week!

Thank you Rainey, it was fun making it. Just have to wait and see how the Singer is going to work out.

Drought is so worrisome. It would be so nice if the rain would spread itself out a bit over the entire year!

I wish I could have found more bricks for you! I had Amber and Jewells searching for it, too!

The figurines from Wendy are awesome!

The quilting on your SMQAL is just stunning. Binding tutorial for anyone that's looking for it. :)

It's always sad when an old machine starts going out. Fingers crossed the Singer will work wonderfully for you.

You're really going strong with My Favorite Things & X-Files! I love seeing your blocks pop up in the FB groups!

I can't wait to see what tomorrow's pattern is going to be for x files.
Having fun with all the qal & bom. You know my mom was supposed to be learning how to paper piece and make her own my favorite things. But she doesn't have the patience for it.  So she chooses her fabric and I make it. LOL.

Your mom is lucky you're so good at what you do!

Your mom is a lucky lady to have you make that amazingly gorgeous quilt for her.

I only own 30+ year old sewing machines, but they don't do anything fancy and are all metal so while I have had tension issues I have always been able to eventually get it right. It's so frustrating having to pick out stitches and do it over though... I hate doing that. I have been known to not worry as much about the back as the front myself. If you have to be a little off better on the back I say. I also not used solids on the back so it's less easy to find my tension issues. Busy prints on the back are a blessing for me for sure.

The quilting is stunning!! Just beautiful!!

Not fun about the drought...Mother Nature has been having tantrums all over the world lately.

Boo on the machines not behaving!

I've got a wee thing to mail out to you later this week!

Yay for Favorite things!!! I just love fairy frost!!!

I know the whole running into people when you least expect it! Course, if I ran into my ex, I'd have to say the brakes failed on my car... ;)

Oh wow - that quilt looks amazing! You did a really great job with the quilting on it, despite having a machine that's on the fritz. If I had seen this sooner, I'd have suggested adjusting the tension on the bobbin case, if you have that ability - my new machine had the weirdest tension issues (it would be perfect for a short time and then suddenly it would go weird and I'd have to readjust the tension all over again) until I ever so slightly tightened the tension on the bobbin case and it's been working like magic ever since. But that being said, I know more recently you've mentioned there's some kind of bad issues with the machine, which is really too bad.
