TTMT #25 X-Files

Started the quilting on mom's quilt. I was hoping to have it finished already, but had to go and by some matching thread, and the tension on the machine is driving me crazy. I test it first, then after a short while it gets all wonky, and I don't pick it up until well into the piece. Then I have to unpick that section.
My other Singer has gone in for a service, with special attention on the tension. But I will only get that one back in 2 weeks.
So, in the meantime, I will just do the straight stitching bits first. No problem there.
It's the free-motion part only that is giving me a problem.

And a big thank you to everyone for your comments last week. I feel better, that it's not just me who would have been upset about "uppity know it all quilt shop ladies"

Looking forward to everyone's, videos.

Yay! I'm thrilled to hear you are enjoying the Sulky so much. Your first block looks fantastic. :)

Thanks so much Jennifer, I will be finding some more online pretty soon. I decided that waiting for it is ok.

I am totally sold on that Fabri-solvy, too. Best stuff for embroidering on dark fabrics for sure. Shoot, any fabric really.

Look forward to seeing the FBaWtFT launch. That will be so fun to follow. I may have to wait until next year to actually do any of it but I definitely plan to follow along as it goes.

I can't wait for it to start either. I owe Jennifer bigtime, she has had to answer so many questions about this or that. Sometimes I think I have gone a little mad, choosing such a big project for my first quilt along. But on the bright side, I will be well trained, and all other quilt alongs will be a breeze.

That is so cool, you need something hairy, scaly, leathery, smooth, slimy, feathery, bright, dark, patterned, plain in all range of colors and you can even go sparkly. Teehehehe.

I've never tried fabri-solvy before but I think I need to get some to try it too.. I've got something I want to do on dark fabric soon and I've done it before using white chalk, but it's so easy to rub off when you don't want it to come off, so it sounds like a great option.

That's crazy how many blocks you've done for the Fantastic Beasts quilt - I'm excited to see what you've been working on! You're such a great designer, I'm sure it's going to be amazing.
