The promised tour....

I tried to take it slow and easy with little jostling, but it is a tour, so there's lots of movement!

I hope you like it!

The TOUR!!!

I really am amazed at how much you've done. The new table is completely fabulous. So much storage space!

The corkboard under your sewing machine is such a great idea. Also, you can totally stick pins in it if you wanted to. Just sayin'. ;)

The organization is totally impressive. Also, I recognized so many odds and ends around your room! Heee!

As promised!!!!

I look around my room and think, MY GOD, this is what I've done to myself. :) But I'm loving the table so much!

I need to look for more cork pieces. I bought 8, but half of them look more like you would expect of a corkboard, while the other half is more like you would expect for cork flooring. :(

I have lots of inspiration all over my room! :) It makes me happy!

I made a friend absolutely bust a gut the other day when I mentioned Yarnia. They thought it was the greatest PUN ever...

*gigglesnorts over Yarnia*

You've done a magnificent job and I'm sure you've been an inspiration to the other TTMTers. I still plan to finish my room, but I've been a bit swamped with life and two events. Now that X-Files is almost over...well, all bets are off! ;)

That table with the bins underneath is great, what an efficient use of space! Your organizational skills are impressive.

Thanks for the tour - I'm basically nosey :) and like to see how other people set their stuff up.

The table was a true labor of love. :) The organizational skills won't last. :)

I totally get seeing other people's craft spaces. It helps generate ideas. :)

You are seriously making me want to set my cutting table back up that way instead of just having the cubbies against the wall. I never had my machine up there though, but I might try that. The Kenmore anyway, which is so darn heavy it doesn't bounce around. Also thatnks for the idea for the cork. I don't have cork, but I have puzzle mat designed to cover garage flooring., I bought it originally to stand on at the cutting table but right now it's in the closet. Maybe I can put the Singer on it to keep it from bouncing. So many ideas from you!

by any chance do you know the dimensions of your room? Just wondering if I even have a hope of fitting a bigger table like that so I want to compare. I think my room is 10x11.

It was unbelievably rewarding to do all that rearrangement, no matter how much work it was! I will say you were right about the height issue you mentioned when I first told you and Jennifer about the cubbies, but you are also taller than me so it may not be an issue for you. As for the height as a cutting table, it's amazing how much room I have to spread out!!! FULL width of fabric for the most part, if I want!! I can't wait to try pillowcases on it!

My room is roughly 11' x 11', so not that much bigger than yours. My table is 4 x 4. I have room all the way around it,

I have issues with a 3 foot height, I'm only 5'2.5". Am I really taller than you? Finally taller than someone! I tried mine on the cubbies a couple of years ago. I do like having my sewing machine higher though. I keep my pedal on an aerobic step I bought for 2 bucks at the thrift store, it works really well! Unfortunately I only really have 2.5 walls to work with, one wall is all the closet and the door to the hallway, and the "half" is the wall Ken keeps his dresser on. So that makes it tough to fit everything I'd like to. I was thinking I could fit maybe a 40" square right in the middle though.

Your room is gorgeous! You have done some serious crafting this week - you crafted a whole room! And Yarnia - oh my goodness! Such beautiful yarns!

Thank you! I've not thought of it like that. It's been a lot of work, but I'm loving how it came out!

Yarnia was the first thing that made me buy my house (that and knowing I would have a craft room)...
