The back to the Musical quilt is done! Time to baste, quilt and bind. Also I entertain you with my IWTB Block #2 as well as my vocal stylings in my rendition of Billy Bragg's Ideology. See you next week!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the concert! The song reminds me so much of the protest songs of my youth (Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul & Mary, etc.). It amazes me how so many of the ideologies we were fighting for then are still problems now. You have a lovely voice and sang it beautifully.

Congratulations on completing the back and being ready for the next step.

I am so in love with this quilt and I haven't even quilted it yet! I am not sure I can give it away. :(

Thank you, you are too kind! If you like all of those then you probably would have really enjoyed our concert, since Peace and Social Justice was the theme. You probably would have known a lot of the songs.

WOW, what a great voice you have! And I envy anyone who can play the guitar, I just can't manage it myself. You certainly looked confident and poised here, just remember the next time you sing it in front of an audience that all the TTMT-ers are cheering you on! That's a moving song too...I was wondering if it was from the 60s or so; amazing it's from the 80s. And yet so very appropriate today. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

The improv quilt's looking good - an looks to me like it's going to be reversible. Nice.

Thank you so much. Yeah, it's pretty frustrating that the songs from back in the day are still just as relevant in today's climate. It sounds much more folky with me doing it, he does it with an electric guitar and a seriously Cockney dialect, lol.

It won't quite be reversible, but I wanted to use as much of those fun fabrics as I could! Hoping to get it basted before the weekend.

Woo for that pieced backing, it is amazing!

Oh my gosh, the guitar stuff is crazy. Good for you for keeping going even though that didn't go as planned.

JEWELLS CONCERT! EEP! Thank you so much for singing for us. ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm hella impressed how fast you relearned guitar. Fan-freaking-tastic.

I just had to fit as much of that awesome fabric into the quilt as I could. I still have some small scraps for my scrapbag.

Lol, well I relearn 4 chords that quickly, lol. I just wish I could make my fingers work in front of an audience. I didn't even FEEL nervous but had wonky fingers anyway. If they ever upload the videos I'll still share, regardless of my mangled guitar part.

I am so proud of you for going front and center again after all these years, wonky fingers or not! *hugs*

It was fun to perform again. I'm going to follow through with rest of this season through the June concert, and then I'll decide in August if I'm continuing with this particular group or trying out a different one.

That sounds like a very reasonable plan!

Oooooh, I don't think I have ever given anyone goosebumps before, that is a first! I am not sure I will have room for all my UFOs AND a sewing machine AND a guitar, but we could always go to a bar and sing karaoke, I'm always up for that. :)

Thank you so much. I love this quilt so much I almost hate to give it away.

Aw thanks. If they ever upload the actual video from the concerts, I'll post a link to my other solo at the beginning of Imagine (John Lennon).

You have am awesome voice, that was fun to watch.

The backing on the music quilt looks great, you could get away with being the "front" to.

Thanks! Perhaps eventually they will have a video uploaded of the actual concert. Then y'all could listen and watch me totally forget how to play the guitar, lol.

I love this quilt so much it's going to be really hard to mail it away when it's done.

Quilt is coming along nicely! Can't wait to see it finished.
Amazing voice you have!! As well as an excellent guitarist!
I have always wanted to learn to play. I actually own one but lessons around here are quite pricey for my budget :(
Maybe one day....

Thanks! Quilting is in progress.

You can get all the free lessons you need on youtube, seriously. I've never taken lessons, but I plan on going in to learn some new stuff.
