The quilt top I made for my husband was the biggest one that I have made, still need to quilt it though.

Hey, I'm back! I've been watching everyone's videos in bits and pieces from various places, and I'm sorry to admit that I'm I bad TTMTer because I haven't been commenting, and I apologize for that. I know how nice it is for someone to comment and let you know they enjoyed your video or they learned something from your video, but too often I just don't take the time to comment. Well, there's just one more week of school and then hopefully I'll not only be commenting on everybody's videos, but also I'll be able to be more consistent in making my own again. Until then, here's my first video in a month.

aalia7 , if you get the chance to watch this, and if you don't want to be spoiled on your birthday_blocks swap blocks, make sure you keep an eye out for my warning, I'll tell you in the video when to stop watching.

Hey-ho! I thought I'd post some pics of what I sent to dozmuffinxc; I'm super glad you received and are enjoying them, Jordan! :D

I knew Jordan had just completed her Regency gown and bonnet, so I decided to make her some accessories!

This is a reticule, an essential addition to any Regency lady's ensemble. This small handbag is made with a silky poly blend, and lined with a navy blue charmeuse. I modified Butterick pattern 5580 by reducing the size (by about 30-40% I think) and adding the tassel. The tassel is made from DMC pearl cotton. The drawstring is a satin cord which runs through 8 eyelets, folding in the edges of the bag at the sides.

Here are some details of the embroidery, the design of which is from Dover Publications' Victorian Floral Iron-on Transfer Patterns. This is worked in 2-strand satin stitch, stem stitch, bullion stitch, and french knots.

To tuck inside her reticule, I made Miss J a hankie. The satin stitches could have been a bit better planned out! They're going every which way, but we can tell ourselves that it adds depth to the piece, can't we?

Initials from Dover Publications' 712 Decorative Letters. Worked in 2-strand satin stitch, lazy daisy, and french knots.

These were both such fun to do. It had been awhile since I'd had traditional pieces on my hoop, and these projects were a pleasure!

I'm halfway to losing my voice thanks to a nasty allergy-cold mutant attacking my throat, so I will spare you all the video. However, I definitely owe you brilliant folks an update as it has been a few weeks since I posted last! In short: I finished my Regency gown in time for my tea (which was amazing, by the way). The four of who who dressed up for the occasion got lots of attention at the hotel and a handful of folks recognizing the look as "Jane Austen." Between that and the fact that a pair of British ladies stopped by our table to say that we made them feel right at home tells me that the ensemble was a success. That, and the fact that it was the coolest birthday celebration ever :)

I'm waiting for a few more pictures taken by another member of the party to be uploaded; she got some shots that I wasn't able to snag on my phone. When I do, I'll post them over on my journal. Also, I'm planning on bringing this outfit back out this weekend when I attend a local production of a dramatized "Pride & Prejudice," so I'll try to get some decent pictures there, too.

I've not been able to make videos for a long while now, and I sort of assume there's some kind of driver issue, but I just keep not getting around to seeing if my bro-in-law can fix it, possibly. So anyway, still no video. I downloaded the vine app onto my phone so that I could give you six seconds of flipping my new haircut around as if I were in a shampoo commercial, but I haven't figured out how to work it yet. Also, I suspect it'd be easier to get someone else to hold the phone while I whipped my hair around. Or whatever. Anyway, since I can't video-show you anything, I'm going to drop a bunch of pictures below the cut. Of things I haven't made, but which are on my mind. I haven't made anything I can show in a little while, but that's because I've been working on patterns for the Doctor Who Stitch-a-long at Fandom in Stitches.

Instead, here's a look into my small but very fantastic collection of Whovian crafties. All of these items were made for me by other people, and three of them involve in one way or another TTMTers.

I can be a pretty big fangirl, but tend not to collect stuff from any of my fandoms (of which there several) and what little I have, I have tended not to display. But, all of these things have been on display for as long as I've had them (except the card, which I put away for safekeeping back in December and didn't rediscover until just yesterday when I remembered I should probably do my income tax - due at the end of April, I think - and found it stacked up with my T4 from work - that's... the form that reports all your income and assorted other bits and bobs of necessary information from a Canadian workplace - and some bank statements with information on interest paid on student loans, which is good for a tax break), and some of them you'll have seen before (if not all of them) but I shall make you look again anyway.

Some of you may recognize this image as the Dalek propaganda poster in... that one episode with the Eleventh Doctor in the first season with Amy Pond, which I think had Winston Churchill in it. It's possible I've blanked out most of that season. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty fantastic poster and the daleks are my sister's favourite villain (I don't know if I have a favourite villain, but I LOVE the Ood, they're so creepily gross), so when shaebay (who used to post videos here) created a cross-stitch pattern for it, I got my sister to stitch it up for me. I simultaneously began stitching it (planning to give it to a co-worker for Christmas that year), but find cross-stitch brutally boring and gave up on it before I ever finished the... white or red, whichever colour I'd started with. It's still in a zip-bag in my sewing room somewhere...

You may remember me receiving this Adipose Baby from dozmuffinxc because I loved it immensely when I got it, and I love it immensely now. I call it Addy, which is an ever-so-creative shortening of Adipose. It's the cutest thing I own by far.

This was made for me for a swap on Flickr, the Modern Scrappy Bits swap, and I think my last video or thereabouts I was talking about it. I have been using this for a lot of things but right now it's storing some scraps of batiks that I couldn't work into the batik Trip Around the World quilt tops I've been working on.

And finally, the one thing none of you will have seen here before:

A painted card by aalia7 of the TARDIS flying into the Crack in Time. (Or is it? It looks like the crack in Amy's wall, anyway!) Aalia sent me this in December and I fell immediately in love, and then put it away for safekeeping and couldn't find it again. But now I've found it, so it's going up on the shelf with my Dalek stitch until I find a frame for it (don't want it to get damaged!).

Oh! I also realized I still have my blue envelope from Crafty Lil Thing, who I'm sure has a LJ but I just can't draw up the right name :D It's put away or I'd go photograph it, but it looks exactly like the envelopes from that episode with the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond. So awesome.
