Congrats on the WIP finish! It really came out lovely. I've only ever knit 2 sweaters for myself, and both were top-down raglan pullovers. I know there are some patterns for top-down cardigans, and also for knitting a pullover that has steeks that you cut to make a cardigan, but I've never attempted them. There is a book called "Big Girl Knits" or something like that that is specifically written for knitting sweaters for 14+ sized women. You might see if you can get it from your library to see if it's something you might want to try.

What a great finish! I love the black borders, they really tie all the different blocks together. Pretty!

I agree with jewells68, the book BigGirlsKnit is wonderful. (They have two books now.) And go to the website Knitty.com They have great patterns online, sorted by type of garment, the easiness of the pattern (mellow=very easy), and they do have lots of sizes too. Have fun. Don't forget to make a gauge swatch before you start your knitting project! It IS important!

Thank you for the suggestion for Knitty.com. Checked it out and think I have a winner!
