When I saw all those hexagons the first thought I had was, I bet I could use them as the center of a block. ANd sure enough...

You know, I almost cut that whole rant out in the interest of time, but when I watched it back I just LOLed at how intense I got over the whole thing. Lighten up, lady! I decided it made for good "television" so to speak.;) Seriously though, those bookcase strips are at least a yard long by 5.5" wide... I'm planning to strip piece them with some complimentary solids (there's some complementary blues, greens and reds in the bag, too) and then cut blocks, I think.

My new costco sweater. 100%cotton and lightweight so I can wear it over long sleeves now and tanks/tees in the spring/summer. ALways thinking I am. ;)

I love my purple shoo flys. I have already been setting some of my purples aside to my own.

Those book strips are LONG. I was thinking of using them to strip piece with srtips of red, green and blue to make some blocks. ;) It could also be the border on a small kid-size quilt.

Thanks... I got a little worked up, but seriously. What a waste. It's not like we received a bunch of new yardage and needed space for it. I think she just found something to do since she had brought her granddaughter instead of her sewing machine and needed to keep her hands busy when other were playing with the little girl. I wanted to go slap her hand.
